This is my ambigram: It you are biracial you are 3x as likely to be depressed and have identity issues. My tattoo says “beautiful” to everyone else, but when I look down it says “biracial” so that I never doubt that biracial is beautiful and so that no one else can rewrite who I am

I’ve been walking around with the idea of getting this tattoo since I was 16, and I finally got it when I turned 20 two years ago. For me it stands for independence and breaking free from “the good girl” expectations.

I did the one on my wrist after leaving school at 18. It’s designed by myself and symbolizes freedom and staying young inside. The planet is inspired by Douglas Adams’ novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which influenced me a lot. And “Don’t panic” is great advice, too.
