I’ve been walking around with the idea of getting this tattoo since I was 16, and I finally got it when I turned 20 two years ago. For me it stands for independence and breaking free from “the good girl” expectations.
Got Best friend tattoos in Banff. Got them when we spent the summer out west. It’s part of a poem from E. E. Cummings, and we chose it because we came out here together and thought it represented our adventures out here.
I find myself wandering this world a lot, like I don’t belong in any particular place. But I never get much worried because I firmly believe that we always end up exactly where we are supossed to.
Made for my baby girl Helen on her first birthday.
I did the one on my wrist after leaving school at 18. It’s designed by myself and symbolizes freedom and staying young inside. The planet is inspired by Douglas Adams’ novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which influenced me a lot. And “Don’t panic” is great advice, too.
